Harbour Ridge Country Club

Lying within Harbour Ridge’s 885 acres are two distinctly different golf courses designed by Joe Lee and the father and son team of Pete and P.B. Dye. The developer of Harbour Ridge, John Dodge, is renowned for his environmental attitudes and one can see that at a glance on both courses. In the middle of Golden Marsh is a 26-acre nature preserve. On River Ridge, there are vast wetland areas, thick plantings and groves of slash pines. On both courses there have been sightings of rare birds, bobcat, gators and even rumors of the spotting of the mysterious Florida Panther.

Golden Marsh

River Ridge

Golden Marsh, the Joe Lee venue, is unique in that most of the hazards are right in front of you. The yardage extends from 5311 to 6607 yards and offers a subtle, but challenging, test of golf for all handicaps. The natural lakes and marshes on many holes provide a spectacular setting for fairways and well-guarded greens that demand accuracy and courage.

The Dyes River Ridge course can stretch back as far as 6668 yards. It has one of the highest slope ratings in all of Florida at 148 from the back tees but can be played from any of five sets of tees to accommodate all degrees of handicap. It is classic Dye with railroad tie walls, deep pot bunkers, undulating fairways and greens and the look of the Scottish links course. The 425 yard third hole has spectacular views of the North Fork of the St. Lucie River where one can see sailboats, yachts, powerboats and even an occasional Dolphin. This extraordinary golf course hosted the first round of qualifying for the US Open in May of 1999 and will be the sight of many local and national tournaments in the future.

Both the Golden Marsh and River Ridge courses at Harbour Ridge have achieved designation as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System (ACSS), the education division of Audubon International, endorsed by the United States Golf Association. Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club is the 31st course in Florida and the 216th in the world to receive the honor.

Whether you are a 2 or a 35 handicap, the two courses at Harbour Ridge will provide an interesting and challenging test of your abilities. And, you will never play in a more beautiful setting.
